Description

New Generation of Quake-Resistant Pipe and Fittings with Integrated Design

Q.R. Pipe is a push-on joint of restrained joints family. It has angular and axial deflection movement against thrust forces and it is constrained and resistant against thrust forces. ISO 16134 considers it as a Quake Resistant joint. In these types of pipes, joint-locking parts are fitted into a chamber in a way that there is no need for bolts and nuts or welding. The assembly of pipes using a pushing method seals them completely and secures the joint section of two pipes.

One of the unique specifications of a Q.R. Pipe is its angular and axial deflection movement. Under seismic conditions, axial thrust force is distributed on one or many pipes and the pipeline’s overall behavior will be as a chain structure.

Application Ductile Iron Q.R. Flex Pipe

  • In high-steep and hilly regions
  • Suitable for all types of soils, lands, especially regions with loose, unstable, and marshy soil.
  • On faults and earthquake-prone regions.
  • Regions where installation of inhibitory concrete blocks is impossible.

Advantage Ductile Iron Q.R. Flex Pipe

  • Easy and quick assembly operation without any glands, nuts and bolts, and other components.
  • Improving pipeline resistance against thrust forces and joint protrusion and creating a chain structure on pipelines.
  • The best choice for Pipe-jacking, and Trenchless laying and Horizontal Direction Drilling (HOD).
  • Suitable for earthquake-prone regions and loose and unstable soils.
  • Reducing execution costs with respect to needing no shock-absorbing and cement thrust blocks.
  • Considerable reducing of waste of water in transferring pipeline and distribution networks.
