Gate Valves

Description

Gate valves are one of the most useful valves with different applications, especially for drinking water. Additionally, these valves are used for fluids with a temperature of less than 80 degrees centigrade used to shut off flow in compressed air. The important characteristic of these valves is that the valve can be set in two positions:

either fully open or fully closed; therefore, it is not possible to increase or decrease fluid flow. Hence, gate valves cannot be used for controlling water flow. Typically, these valves are produced in the size of 50-200 millimeters and the operating pressures of 10 and 16 bar. Similar to other valves, these valves are produced under specific standards including BA EN 1171.
