Fermentations

Fermentation is a biochemical process carried out by organisms, distinguishing it from other chemical industries. It is widely used in pharmaceuticals, food, energy, chemicals, agriculture, and environmental protection.

  • Generally, the fermentation process is biochemical reaction that proceed at normal temperatures and pressures, with safe reaction and simple condition requirements.
  • The raw materials used in fermentation are quite extensive, usually based on starch, molasses and other agricultural products, and the reaction can be proceed by adding a small
    amount of organic and inorganic nitrogen sources and other nutrients. Because of the different categories, the microorganism can be selectively taken advantage of required nutrition.
    Based on this feature, it can make use of waste materials etc. as raw materials for the fermentation to renovate and renew of biological resources.

Liquid Glucose

It is the mixed syrup of glucose, maltose, and malt oligosaccharide syrup, which are produced by appropriate hydrolysis of starch. Glucose and maltose are strong reducing sugar. Greater of starch hydrolysis degree and higher glucose content, the reducibility will be stronger. Usually we take the DE value to indicate the degree of starch hydrolysis.

Liquid glucose can be divided into high, medium and low three categories according to the degree of conversion. In the industrial production, the largest and the most widely used is the syrup with DE value 30-50%, The DE value of 42% is called standard glucose syrup.

Sugar Starch

Starch Sugar refers to a range of sweetening products derived from starch hydrolysis using acids or enzymes. The liquid forms include maltose, glucose syrup, and fructose syrup, while the solid forms consist of dextrose monohydrate, dextrose anhydrous, crystal fructose, and maltodextrin. These sugar products serve as raw materials for sugar alcohol production through hydrogenation, widely used in food, pharmaceuticals, and chemical industries.

All kinds of starch sugar will be got by starch hydrolysis with acid or enzyme. The liquid products include maltose, glucose syrup, fructose syrup, etc.; The solid products include dextrose monohydrate, dextrose anhydrous, crystal fructose, maltodextrin, etc. Sugar products are used to produce various alcohol products through hydrogenation reaction, which are widely used in food, medicine, chemical industry, and other fields.
