Direct Coupling Air Screw Compressor
- Description
Description
In direct coupling air screw compressors, air handling unit, and electromotor are aligned and installed in front of each other and they rotate at the same speed as the rating speed of the electromotor (1500 rpm or 3000 rpm). (If there is a transaxle installed on the air handling unit, the speed of the motor and air handling unit won’t be the same). In this kind of connection, torque is enforced directly. Therefore, there will be no lateral force on the shafts, resulting in pure rotation.
Benefits of Direct Coupling Air Screw Compressor:
- Precise design and manufacture (CNC) of the housing bell (which connects electromotor to the air handling unit) which ultimately results in an alignment with high precision in the coupling compressor.
- Saving energy due to no energy loss in belts as in belt coupling air screw compressors.
- No vibration or noise.
- Maintaining the alignment between the motor and air handling unit in long term.
- Integrated chassis under air end and air handling unit.
- Using flexible coupling.
