Description

The T-butterfly valve with a contraction sealing system is a flow On-Off valve used in fluid transfer systems that overcomes the drawbacks associated with conventional double-flange butterfly valves, including the following:

  • Requires a high torque to operate.
  • Sealing rubber becomes damaged and crushed.
  • Removes the requirement for a bypass pipeline in the case of large valve sizes.

The principle behind these valves is the use of a shrinkable rubber seal on the body that does not come into contact with or abrade the disc when the valve is opened or closed. To perform the sealing operation, hydrostatic pressure is applied to the back of the tire. As the tire approaches the disc, it cuts off the fluid flow and performs the sealing operation.
