Description

Wafer valves or butterfly valves are used to stop or continue the flow with the purpose of preventing two-sided pressure difference in fluid flow. This kind of valve hinders any backflow in the systems designed specifically for one-sided flows. In fact, this aim is achieved by a tightly installed disk, an O-ring, washers, straight valves located downstream and upstream, and precise machining.

Wafer valves are mainly used in raw water transfer, drinking water piping, cold water transfer, and in general in flanged piping systems in which the valve is fastened using two flanges and several bolt and nuts. Due to high strength and desirable function, wafer valves have replaced ball valves in many industries.

These valves are manufactured in various sizes from 50 to 200 millimeters and with operational pressures 10 and 16 bar depending on the desired application. All valves produced in this company, including wafer valves, are designed and manufactured according to standard EN 593 BS.
