PV4 borehole pump

Description

A PV4 borehole pump is a multi-axis vertically suspended pump that complies with API 610 requirements for VS4 type pumps. It has a single-type scroll case, and sliding bearings restrain the shaft in the body pipe. These bearings may be cooled using either pumped or external fluid. This pump is intended for use in wells, canals, and tanks and can pump both clean liquids and those containing fine solid particles. Cast alloy steel and cast iron alloy are used to manufacture the pumps.

Two kinds of bearings are used in this type of pump:

• The anti-wear bearing absorbs axial loads.
• For shaft maintenance, abrasive bearing

The first type of bearing is mounted separately at the top of the drain head and supports the weight of the pump’s moving parts and its axial hydraulic load during operation. These bearings are contained in an oil chamber, and the heat generated by their rotation is dissipated through a water duct.

The second type of bearing is installed parallel to the axis and is responsible for preventing vibration and adjusting the work axis. This bearing has an automatic unit that pressurizes the bearing with grease.
